Baby's first road trip

On Monday after Gordon's classes, we all set out on a 5 hour drive to Boise for my permanent residency interview. Brooke did surprisingly well and slept most of the way (with the exception of the last hour when she screamed her little head off). C'est la vie. Anyways, my interview went well and I am officially a permanent resident for two years! Gordon's mom pointed out that its ironic I got my green card on St. Patricks Day (haha). After our interview we got some lunch and walked around the temple grounds of the Boise temple to get some much needed stretching and fresh air. Brooke did awesome on the drive back and we are definetly happy to be home. (Just as a side note, big thankyou's to my old roommate Jeanne and her husband Paul for letting us crash on their floor in Boise! You guys are great!)

Congrats on passing your test! Will you have to retake the test in two years or just renew your card?

yeah you can be a part of our family for at least 2 more years (J/K). I am so thrilled for you guys what a great thing. Hopefully that was a nice trial run for Brooks upcoming flight. We can't wait to see you guys on Saturday-and kiss on little brooke of course. She has so much hair I am just amazed. Saige did too-it was that dark brown but she lost it at about 4-6 months and it became blonde. Who knows what Brooke will do-it will be a surprise to all

Congratulations on passing "the test". I'm glad everything went well and the trip was ok on Brooke. She's such a cute driver. ;-) Just in case (not like you need more advice, right?), have Tylenol handy when you fly to Oregon and a pacifier. Babies don't know how to pop their ears on flights and it can definitely put a damper on the trip. This really helped when we flew with Hyrum down to Puerto Rico. It was his first and last time enjoying a pacifier, he would never take them. Then again she sleep the entire way there.
