The Party

Here are a few photos from the party we had for Brooke on Saturday. The party was from 2-4, but didn't last that long. We started out with coloring brown paper lunch bags and decorating them with stickers. Then there were little candies with letter stickers on them that the little girls were to find. Once they found all of them we put the alphabet together and sang our ABC's. After that, we decorated cookies, got some snacks and had our birthday cupcakes and ice cream. Then we opened gifts, blew some bubbles and played with balloons! Pretty simple, but over all a good party. I over heard one of the mom's say she thought it was just 'such a cute party'. So, that's good to hear! Here are just a few of the photos we took.

Some cookies I made for our guests to put in their loot bags.

Lots of yummy and healthy treats: veggies and dip, grapes, strawberries, rice krispie squares.

Birthday cupcakes- chocolate cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting and pink sprinkles

Mommy and Me Photo Shoot

Since Gordon surprised me with my new camera a few months ago, I've been occasionally taking Brooke out just to take a bunch of photos for practice. These are from her 2 year old photo shoot that we did a few days ago. Some of them turned out great! These are some of our favorites! From these pictures, you can tell that Brooke has quite the personality! I love this little girl! So far, this age is our favorite. She is talking and understanding more and more everyday! It's awesome!

Brooke's Birthday

Brooke turned two on Tuesday, so here is her little party we had that evening in pictures!

Brooke waiting for dinner!

I made grilled pizzas for dinner, one of Brooke's favorites.

Brooke opening one of her gifts: a potty! Wahoo! Time for potty training!

She seriously loves the potty. So much so that she likes to store her toys inside. Ha! She hasn't quite grasped the potty concept yet.

 Opening more presents.

Brooke modeling her new necklace and bracelet from Great Grandma Ernhofer. She refused to take them off before bed!

 Opening more gifts with Daddy.

Testing out her new favorite thing, the potty. She didn't want to sit in it at first, so we started with clothes on and then switched to pants off.

The grand finale: the last gift we surprised Brooke with was this new toddler bed that Gordon and his dad built and the pillow and duvet cover that I sewed!

When we first showed her the bed, she ran crying the other way because she thought it was bed time, but she got used to it real fast and loves it now!

She's excited about her new bed and new pajamas.

Reading a bedtime story with Daddy.

Tomorrow is Brooke's party with all her little girl friends. Of course there will be more photos to post then!

Happy Birthday Brooke!

Cuteness.

I snapped a few photos of some random shenanigans while house-sitting at Mark & Tammy's. I'm posting these for the sole purpose of proving to you all that Brooke is cute, but sometimes gives me attitude. Doesn't she look so grown up?
Brooke loved all the hats she found in Rylan's room! The strawberry hat was her favorite.

Love that hair! Makes her look so old! She's not even two yet!

See what I mean? Attitude!

Brooke likes to help!

Brooke thought it was pretty cool that Daddy's laptop played music too!
